World-wide company has an opening for a cost accountant in one of its Georgia facilities. This company has expertise across a breadth of disciplines including specialty chemical, floor covering, and performance materials. They strive to add value to people's lives, improve health and safety, and make the world more sustainable. In order to support the duties of the cost accountant, advanced proficiency in Excel is required to create formulas, pivot tables and support inventory variances. This role will work closely with the plant accountant in industrial engineering.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of Master Data (BOMs, Routes, Formulas)
Prepare Product Costing, including but not limited to, raw materials and mixes
Track new product development
Load BOMs, and verify all components are correct (style, color and finish)
Load Routes to include speeds, efficiencies, and routing order
Allocation of chemical and dyes on BOMs to the route they are consumed
Prepare Weekly Labor Report
Export Plant Financial Targets
Export Plant Production Quantities by Product Line
Export Production Quantities by Cost Center
Perform time studies
Prepare daily reports
Export reports from SAP for analysis in Excel
Assist Plant Accountant in any other areas
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
Excel - Formulas, Pivot Tables, Look Up Tables, Filtering
Access - Develop and maintain access reports
Detail Oriented
Analytical Skills

Ability to multi-task and prioritize based on urgency
Excellent verbal and written skills
Problem Solving Skills
Exemplary Work Ethic and Work History
SAP Experience preferred
Education:
Associate or Bachelor Degree, Accounting and/or finance preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
